THE EMMETT FAMILY TREE (Updated 17/04)
Simply click on the picture for the Emmett family tree. Easy!!
Some notes:
1. Extended family, such as Luca’s daughter Alice, will not have their families included in this legacy. This is partly due to space and time issues, but mostly because I didn’t discover twallan’s SP mod early enough and had to rely on EA – most of the family, once they moved out, did pretty much knack all for the rest of their lives!
2. Family members won’t have their picture included on the tree until they’re at least teenagers, unless they leave the main family. As child Sims pretty much look nothing like their grown up counterparts, it’s just a time-saving approach. Their names shall be included at birth, though!
3. Sims that are part of the family tree, but not as important, will only have a tiny picture. For instance, Andrea Cooper had Simon Emmett’s baby, but was only in the legacy briefly. On the other hand, Charlene Elkins had a bigger role, and therefore has a proper picture.
4. Unknown Child! Will be used in place of pictures, if the child is never part of the legacy, for instance Simon Emmett’s baby has not been seen. However, if the child does become part of the legacy at a later date, this information will be updated. UPDATE!! Yes, that really is a picture of Rosalie Boyles, Simon’s kiddie. She came along to a party Olly threw in generation 6 and I took a picture; Torrey was still in school and I didn’t know he existed at that point.
Thanks for reading!
Hey, I noticed you’re typing out all the names of the family members on here. An easier way to post your family tree so people can see it is by selecting to edit this page, then making a link to the file you uploaded to WordPress.
Basically, just find the family tree picture you uploaded in your Media Library and click Show to make it expand and give you more options. There should be a blank bar somewhere there with two options: “file url” or “post url”. Click “file url” and a link will show up in the blank bar.
Copy that link and then exit your Media Library. Then make a link how you normally would: type Emmett Family Tree or whatever you want to call the link to your tree, highlight it, then click the link icon, pasting the file url you just copied into the blank bar on the little popup that appears and accepting.
Your link should take you directly to the family tree in its proper, original size so you can see all the names and everything else much clearer.
Anyway, you can delete this comment right after you don’t need it anymore, heh. I just thought I’d help you out.
Yeah, I hadn’t thought about doing that when I first started making the tree. I’m going to remake the tree anyway, its been smushed by imageshack (bah) so I’m going to start over. I hate making these things though, it takes so long!!
Thanks for the advice and help, though, I really appreciate it!
Argh, it takes too bloody long to make family trees ): NEW PLANNAGE – tomorrow or Sunday, I’m going to do an Emmett Enclyclopedia instead. With pictures. Far easier.
Heh heh, I like making the trees. I find it fun, even if it does take some time. I have encyclopedias in conjunction with each tree, but I don’t list Sims until they die, so people can guess their traits for themselves by reading the story.
I enjoy making them for the first two generations, but then I get all antsy about having all the pictures the *exact* same size and all the lines the same length and such and start annoying myself. I think I’d like it more if I was using a better program, sadly I have to use MS Paint!!
Yeah, I was using Paint for a little while, then got fed up and gave up. Then my brother gave me his copy of Photoshop CS4 and with Tiari’s tutorial, I was able to make Family Trees a lot easier and it was more fun.
Heh, sorry for clogging up your Family Tree page with an infinite amount of comments.
Its reet, I like comments, makes me feel all speshul inside ^_^
i love your family tree – one of the best i have seen
Thankyou! It’s not a patch on ashleigh’s though, but once my legacy is *gulp* finished, I’m going to re-do it so it looks prettier (:
hii my name is saoirse emmett an i was wondering how u came up with it as its not a very common name ?
Wow, that’s a bit of a coincidence! Well, I chose Emmett as the family name when I began the legacy last year, and while Summer was pregnant I was reading a book and there was a character named Saoirse, I liked the name and used it
it really is ! cool and i really like your story lines !
Thank you very much
What an impressive family tree! You have almost finished this challenges, nine generations is an achievement in itself. I will be adding your legacy to my blogroll!
Check it out if you like
