As my legacy blog gets longer, I’ve realised it’s harder for new readers to catch up with the previous generations, as there are a lot of chapters now! Therefore, this page will contain a basic summary of what happened in each generation. If you’re new to the Emmetts and don’t have much time, you can simply read the summary then catch up with the current generation. Time saving, no? ^_^ It is also useful if you simply need to refresh your memory about a particular generation.
GENERATION ONE – THOMAS EMMETT
Thomas moved to Riverview with very few simoleons, and was presented with an enormous plot of land to live on. He quickly found work in the Military Career and placed a few items of basic furniture on the open grass to get by on. He painted a simple picture of a house after buying an easel; this represented his dreams of having a proper home. Whilst training his Athletic skill at the gym, he met a Sim, Clarissa. After he’d earned enough money to build his house up a bit, he asked Clarissa to move in with him, and she accepted. Thomas quickly moved up the ranks of the military, eventually becoming an Astronaut. On the same day, Clarissa discovered she was pregnant. Thomas proposed to Clarissa; she accepted. She eventually gave birth to triplet boys; Leon, Levi and Luca. The new parents focused on raising their babies, and did not marry until they were Children. As the boys became Teenagers, Thomas and Clarissa aged to Elder. Thomas retired, and spent his days gardening. Luca got a girlfriend, his childhood friend Hayley. As the family had saved enough money, Thomas had a proper house built for them, and thus saw his early dreams come true; he hung his house painting in the sitting room, as an inspiration to his boys. Shortly after the new house was built, the triplets aged to Young Adult and Thomas passed away.
GENERATION TWO – LEON EMMETT
The heir to Thomas’ legacy is the first born of his triplets. Leon is a very talented author and artist, who earns a living writing books and painting; he paints a portrait of each of his parents to hang in the house. Despite being very shy and introverted he meets a new resident of Riverview, Gwen Glover, who is a fellow artist, which puts him at ease and he can be himself around her. They become a couple and Gwen moves into the Emmett household along with Luca’s Hayley. Leon’s mother dies just after Gwen moves in, leading Luca to propose to Hayley, who accepts. They hold a wedding party at their house and Leon decides to propose to Gwen on the day. Levi finds love at the wedding also, meeting Troy Best. Hayley becomes pregnant, and upon the birth of her daughter Alice the little family moves out of the house; Troy moves in to fill the void. Gwen reveals that she is pregnant too, she and Leon marry in a quiet ceremony. She gives birth to twin boys, Harry and David. Levi and Troy move out to give the family some space. David takes after Leon, but Harry has neurotic tendencies and is a bit of a loner; his parents worry about him frequently. Gwen throws Leon a birthday party in the library, his favourite place in Riverview. The boys age to Teenager and find part time jobs, David at the bookstore and Harry at the Mausoleum. One night Harry doesn’t come home from work; he is eventually brought home by the police; Gwen is exceedingly angry but Leon is worried about his son. The boys age to Young Adult, David finds a job in Business but Harry stays on at the Mausoleum. David is promoted very quickly, and his parents are very proud of him.
GENERATION THREE – DAVID EMMETT
David reveals that his mother is keen for him to get a girlfriend; she wants him to start seeing their medical student maid Tana, but his heart is set on Alison, however it turns out Alison is already in a relationship. Distraught, David holes himself up in the office; his father Leon dies while he is there. He begins to date Tana, and starts to fall for her. He asks her to move in but his mother dies on the same day. It also turns out that Tana is cheating on him, they break up and David finds comfort in his twin brother. Harry finds out he has a daughter from a brief relationship, he freaks out and runs away, although he sends money to his daughter’s mother. Alison turns up one day out of the blue; she has left her abusive boyfriend and moves in with David and Harry; David proposes to her a short while later. Alison quickly falls pregnant; she marries David in a private ceremony over one of the town’s rivers. She gives birth to Theo. Harry quickly adapts to his role as Uncle, which inspires him to get in touch with his daughter Charlene. Alison falls pregnant again, this time giving birth to a girl, Korina. David is successful in his career also, becoming the youngest ever CEO of the Doo Peas Corporation. Time flies, and both the children and adults grow up. David is very proud of his children. Theo meets Charlene by accident one day while out driving, he brings her home and Harry meets his daughter for the first time. As Korina ages to Teenager, she displays a lot of Commitment Issues, and has a string of brief romances. Theo, on the other hand, gets a steady girlfriend, Lilian. She moves into the house as she and Theo graduate. Korina starts staying out late with random boys and breaks curfew; her parents become really cross with her, throwing one of her ‘friends’ out of the house. Theo gets a job at the theatre, hoping to become a Rock Star one day, and proposes to Lilian. Korina has more brief relationships.
HARRY’S NOTE
Harry reveals that David has died, and looks back over their lives together.
Love this idea.
Mind if I steal it from you? The Charm Legacy has gotten really long.
Though I’m not sure how I’d pull it off, since my blog hosts a lot of different challenges.
Go for it
You’ve reminded me that this needs updating, actually. Job for Sunday, methinks!
Hm, maybe I’ll merge the summaries with the Chapters page… I’ve been thinking of changing the layout lately to something cleaner…. hmmmm….
Love this idea as well and I might use it when my legacy starts getting longer!
But thanks to these summaries, I can now start from generation 8!
I found it really helpful as I found about your legacy today and I noticed I’m more than a little behind!
p.s: If you have the time to, please check out my new legacy as well! Thanks
(oh, and I also added you to my blogroll, if you don’t mind? :p)
